Maldon Town Regatta and Parade of Sail

Hythe Quay Maldon

The main race starts down river from West Mersea in the morning but the Parade of Sail finishes at Maldon. This is a spectacular sight with both traditional and modern boats crossing the finish line at the end of the Prom and many sailing past the Hythe quay.

There is also Dinghy racing from Maldon Yacht club

The traditional charity Duck Race

This will take place around High Water as hundreds of numbered plastic ducks are released off the Hythe quay. The first duck to be carried by wind and tide across the e finish line wins!

Live music, food, the Duck Race and prize giving will be held at the Queens Head.

The Hythe has good access for visitors who are disabled.
