MALDON CHRISTMAS 2025

Maldon Town Council has announced that this year's Christmas Fayre will take place on Thursday 27th November 2025 from 5pm to 9pm.

Along with the switching on of the brand new lights at 6pm, the evening promises the now familiar mix of market stalls along the High Street as well as the indoor craft markets.

Light Up Maldon is promising enchanting entertainment with a vibrant programme of local performers filling the air with festive cheer.

The High Street will be closed to traffic between 2.30pm and 10:30pm for the event.

Parking will be available in local car parks, with free parking from 4pm at Promenade Park, Friary Fields, White Horse Lane and Butt Lane Car Parks.

SCHEDULE FOR THE EVENING

6:00 pm: Head to the Moot Hall Balcony to join the Mayor and special guests for the highly anticipated Christmas Lights Switch-On!

6:05 pm: The Big Sing: A community sing-along
7:00 pm - 7:45 pm: Mars Garden (60s Band)
7:50 pm - 8:40 pm: Adrian Warwick (Solo Artist)

More Entertainment Across Town
Cygnet Room (Back of Swan Hotel): School Choirs, Maldon Youth Orchestra, and Face Painting from 5:15 pm. Plus 'Aladdin' characters and 'Allo, 'Allo's René and Edith will be meeting and greeting!

High Street Performances (From 6:00 pm): The Maldon Green Jackets, Dark Horse Morris Dancers, and Mains ‘l Haul Shanty Crew Singers.
5:00 pm - 8:30 pm (Town Sign, West Square): Maldon Community SDA Choir.
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm (Edwards Brights Close/All Saints’): Salvation Army Band.
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Music with Rick Crawford at Mighty Oak Tap Room.

Look out for characters roaming the High Street from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm including: • Minnie & Mickey Mouse • Peppa Pig • Spiderman, Barbie, Mario & Luigi • Elsa, Anna, and Olaf!
