Maldon's High Street will come alive on Thursday November 29 2019 with a special Vintage Christmas Fayre event between 4pm and 9pm.
This year's theme is the Swinging Sixties.
The High Street will be closed to make way for various stalls and entertainments.
The action starts at 4pm and Maldon's Town Mayor will turn on the Christmas lights.
There will be late night shopping plus a street market, choirs, music, hospitality hosted by the local shops and competitions.
Saint Fm will be putting on a variety of entertainment from the big stage which will be near All Saints’ Church on the High Street and Santa will be in his Winter Wonderland at the bottom of Brights Path/Old Mill Close.
If you fancy dressing for the evening, this year's theme is the Swinging Sixties and a prize will be awarded to the best dresed visitor.

PARKING AND ACCESS
The High Street will be closed on the evening from the old Police Station at West Square to Wantz Road and this will result in diversion of cars and buses.
During this time town car parks will be accessible from the appropriate ends of the High Street and there will be an evening charge of £1 from 5pm to 10pm. For details of car parks see here
You can also park in Morrisons Supermarket car park from where a free shuttle minibus service will run. Give your car registration number to customer services to avoid a penalty notice.PLEASE NOTE:

Heritage Open Days is a National celebration of England's cultural and architectural heritage and includes free admission to buildings, or parts of buildings, which are otherwise not open to the public or that normally charge an entry fee. The Maldon District Open Days event is taking place during 13th to 22nd September 2019.
